Vallejo is becoming more of a college town every day with more than 4,000 college students attending our three growing universities. Cal Maritime has been a part of the Vallejo community since 1941 and has grown its curriculum and student body since becoming part of the California State University system in 1995. Touro University moved to Mare Island in 1997 and has been expanding its curriculum and role in the community ever since. Solano Community College has had a presence in Vallejo for more than 65 years and opened its new Vallejo campus opened in 2007 and is in the planning stages of another expansion.
