Free Dump Day

The City is hosting a Free Dump Day in partnership with Recology Vallejo to help residents conveniently and safely dispose of unwanted items!

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 7:00AM - 12:00PM
Location:  100 Solano Avenue

Residents are invited to bring items that may not fit in their curbside carts or are difficult to dispose of. This is a great opportunity for clearing out clutter and responsibly get rid of bulky items for FREE.

Residents must enter from the north side of Sonoma Boulevard (southbound) and turn right at Solano Avenue. Please follow on-site directions to help keep the event running smoothly.

This event is for Vallejo residents only. Proof of residency is required (e.g. driver's license, Recology bill). No commercial businesses or contractors allowed. Pickup trucks and vans are OK, however, box trucks, U-Hauls, and other commercial vehicles are NOT allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many trips can I make?/How much can I dispose?

Residents are able to make unlimited trips and dispose of multiple loads during the event period. There is a limit to 9 tires per resident.

Are pick-up trucks from U-Haul allowed?

Small pick-up trucks may be used, however vans and moving trucks are not allowed.
