The City of Vallejo received funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) that will be used to fund grants to our local small businesses who have suffered negative impacts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. One hundred twenty five thousand ($125,000) was allocated by the City Council to fund a Hardening Grant to reimburse small businesses with receipts for security improvement items. The City of Vallejo is opening the grant opportunity for a third round to spend the $125,000.
Grants up to $3,000 for security improvements items, included but not limited to:
- Cameras
- Locks
- Window enhancements
- Doors
Who is eligible?
- For-profit and non-profit brick and mortar businesses located in Vallejo
- Businesses with valid Vallejo business license
- 20 or fewer employees
- Businesses with receipts of purchases made January 1, 2023, to May 21, 2025
Application Timeline
- Application open – April 21, 2025, to May 21, 2025
- Grant awardees announced by June 2025
Grants will be awarded through a lottery system.
