Serve as a resource for City of Vallejo employees and citizens by identifying and managing risks, safe guarding City assets, protecting employee well-being, promoting safety, and reducing the frequency, severity and associated cost of claims.


The Risk Management Division is responsible for managing all aspects of risk for the City of Vallejo. Risk Management administers the City's Workers Compensation program, manages claims, reviews and assesses insurance obligations and recommends techniques for managing the risk associated with City operations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Vallejo, the City, is soliciting proposals from consultants with qualifications, experience and knowledge to provide General Liability third part administrator services. 

The City’s agreement with existing TPA expires on May 20, 2023. In accordance with the City’s contracting policies and procedures, the City seeks a proposer that can skillfully administer the City’s general liability claims program and act as the City’s representative in connection with the investigation, adjustment, processing, supervision and resolution of claims asserted by third parties against the City, or against parties for whom the City is alleged to be legally responsible. The proposer shall provide professional and technical staff to perform General Liability Claims Administration services with the assignment of qualified personnel, including at least one principal claims examiner, to efficiently and effectively meet the scope of work listed.

Proposals must be submitted electronically to [email protected] or through City of Vallejo’s PlanetBids Vendor Portal by no later than 5:00 PM PST, February 14, 2023. A hard copy of proposal shall be received on or before February 15, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. It is the sole responsibility of the proposing firm to ensure that proposals are received prior to the closing time as late bids will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
