Bulky Item Collection

Have items that won’t fit in your curbside cart?

Single-family property owners are entitled to four FREE bulky item pickups each calendar year!

Each pickup includes up to 2 cubic yards of material. To schedule your free pickup, call Recology Vallejo at (707) 552-3110. Apartment complex managers or Homeowners' Associations (HOAs) must make arrangements on behalf of their tenants.

You can use your bulky item pickup for items such as couches, refrigerators, extra garbage, appliances and more.

Note:

  • Two cubic yards is roughly ten 32-gallon garbage bags.

  •  Stacked items should not be larger than one yard (or three feet) wide, by one yard (or three feet) high, and two yards (or six feet) long.

  • Stack your items neatly and measure to ensure you do not exceed the two yard limit. Staying within these guidelines helps ensure your items are collected without issue.

Consider Reuse Before Disposal

Before throwing away your item, consider donating and giving it a second life. Many nonprofit organizations accept gently used items. Donating your working items in good condition to a local nonprofit not only helps divert items from the landfill but also supports the community. You can also donate gently used items to your local thrift store. For more information, contact the donation site directly.
